Celebrity weddings to look forward to in 2014

9. Scarlett Johansson and Romain Dauriac

After a nine-month whirlwind romance and following her divorce from Ryan Reynolds, Scarlett Johansson became engaged to Romain Dauriac during the summer of 2013.

Her spokesperson confirmed the happy news in September, but did not reveal when the proposal occurred or when they might tie the knot. “They haven’t chosen a date for the wedding,” she said at the time. Will it be this year?

8. The Hills stars Lauren Conrad and Whitney Port

Both stars, Lauren and Whitney, announced their engagements in the Autumn of 2013. First it was Lauren, who flashed her stunning engagament ring on Twitter, confirming the happy news.

Whitney followed closely, just one month later. The star became engaged to her boyfriend Tim Rosenman during a trip to Australia. At the time she revealed: “He proposed in our hotel room. It was super intimate. We went home the next day. I love the ring, it’s beautiful!” Lauren and Whitney have already started planning their big day, but who will marry first?

7. Novak Djokovic and Jelena Ristic

Tennis ace Novak Djokovic announced his engagement to Jelena in September, tweeting, “Meet my fiancée and future wife  So happy! Thank you for wonderful wishes.”

The couple, who live together in Monte Carlo and have been dating for eight years, have a lot of celebrity friends and know how to throw a party… I can’t wait!

6. Fearne Cotton and Jesse Wood

Radio One DJ Fearne Cotton also took to Twitter to announce her happy news. “I’m over the moon to tell you that on Sunday Jesse proposed and I happened to say Yes. ❤,” the mum-of-one revealed.

The 32-year-old and Jesse became parents earlier this year and the engagement was the icing on the cake for this amazing year. Fearne surprised with the choice of ring, will she suprise with her wedding dress?

5. Zayn Malik and Perrie Edwards

Thousands of hearts broke when One Direction singer Zayn Malik and Little Mix star Perrie Edwards announced their engagement in August.

Rumours spread like wildfire at the One Direction film premiere when Perrie was spotted wearing a dazzling diamond ring on her engagement finger. Soon her mum confirmed that the young couple were getting married and recently she also revealed that they are planning to wed in December 2014.

4. Kaley Cuoco and Ryan Sweeting

Kaley’s engagement to Ryan was probably the biggest surprise of the year. He proposed three months after they started dating with a 2.5 carat sparkler from Red C Jewels, reportedly worth $65,000. Kaley has already celebrated her bridal shower and seems ready to be the first bride of 2014!

3. Mark Wright and Michelle Keegan

Mark proposed to Michelle during a trip to Dubai, nine months after they first met. The couple revealed the full story of their proposal exclusively to HELLO!.

“I thought he was joking at first and then he said come here. I started crying, and said yes, and then he started welling up as well. Then as we walked further down the beach I saw a table set up with lanterns and petals, and with two glasses of champagne.”

Michelle recently revealed that they wedding will probably take place in 2015, but you never know…

2. Leighton Meester and Adam Brody

Leighton and Adam dated for ten months before the actor popped the question. According to reports Adam secretly proposed in November, much to the surprise and delight of his future bride.

“Leighton and Adam are crazy about each other and have talked about getting married eventually,” an insider told America’s Star.

We still haven’t seen a pic of the engagement, but we really hope they are indeed engaged and that they marry in 2014!

Since Kanye proposed to Kim in October everyone has been speculating when their nuptials will take place, what dress she will wear, who will be invited…

Kim’s mum Kris recently reveal that it will not be a low-key event. “We have a pretty big family. I don’t think it will be two people in a chapel, if you know what I mean.” Kris didn’t reveal when it will take place, but said: “Hopefully it will be soon.”
